"Austria Youngsters Cup Graz Stattegg 05.05.2012"

 

Groß in Form zeigten sich die Kärntner Nachwuchs-Mountainbiker auf der EM-Strecke in Graz/Stattegg.
Bei den Mädchen war Yana Dobnig (Rlm Omya Villach) in der Kategorie U15 eine Klasse für sich. Sie gewann souverän den Technikbewerb mit 18 von 21 Punkten und startete mit 1 Minute Vorsprung in das schwierige und lange Rennen. Da die angenommene Rundenzeit von 15 Minuten (30 Minuten Rennzeit) von den Buben unterschritten wurde, musste eine 3. Runde gefahren werden. Ihre Vereinskollegin Franziska Egarter erkämpfte sich in dieser Klasse trotzt Punkteverlust beim Technikbewerb den 4. Rang. Rang 5 erreichte Corinna Druml (SC Hermagor).
Nina Mosser (Altis the bike team) zeigte mit dem 2. Platz in der Kategorie U13 ihre tolle Form und wird sicher bald auf dem obersten Stockerl zu finden sein. Auch Julia Wiltschnig (SC Hermagor) war groß in Form und ist mit dem 3. Gesamtrang in der U17 sicher auf dem Weg an die Spitze.
Das ungemein hohe Niveau im Mountainbike Nachwuchssport zeigte sich bei den Jugendlichen in den männlichen Klassen. Hier verzeiht die Leistungsdichte keinen Fehler. In der Kategorie U11 erreichte Sebastian Preinig (RSC McDonalds) Rang 6 und sein Vereinskollege David Polzer in der Klasse U13 Rang 7. Benjamin Heindl (Rlm Omya Villach) wurde 22. In der Kategorie U15 erreichte Fabian Lamprecht (Rlm Omya Villach) Rang 7. Sein Vereinskollege Fabian Lamprecht konnte trotz eines “Patschen” in der letzten Runde, der bei einem Boxenstopp mit Hilfe des Serviceteams “Papa” formeleinsmäßig behoben wurde, den 13. Platz erreichen. Stefan Egarter konnte seine gute Startposition aus dem Technikbewerb (17 Punkte) leider nicht ins Ziel bringen – Rang 20 in der Gesamtwertung.
In der Klasse U17 männlich erreichten Philipp Hack und Leon Wolbank (beide Altis the bike team) nach einem sehr guten Technikbewerb (19 Punkte) die Plätze 15 und 16.
Weitere Kärntner Teilnehmer konnten diesmal nicht ihre volle Form abrufen, werden aber bei den nächsten Rennen sicher wieder auf sich aufmerksam machen.
Einen Namen kann man sich für die Zukunft sicher merken: Nico Dobnig U7, der “Jungspund” des Rlm Omya Villach trat ambitioniert in die Pedale und erreichte unter 10 Startern den hervorragenden 2. Platz.
Gesamt gesehen waren die Streckenverhältnisse nach starkem Regen und teils unfahrbaren Passagen durch Sonne und leichtem Wind am Nachmittag recht gut. Auf jeden Fall kann man im August eine spannende Jugend-EM in Stattegg erwarten.
