"Marlene Sunshine Race Nals/Südtirol, 13. und 14. April 2013"

 

Wie jedes Jahr im April, versammelte sich auch heuer wieder ein internationales Starterfeld in Nals/Südtirol, zum MARLENE SUNSHINE RACE. Mitten drin und nicht nur dabei, waren auch 6 Nachwuchssportler aus Kärnten.
Der schwierigen Aufgabe, sich gegen Sportlern aus vielen Nationen behaupten zu können, stellten sich:
Dobnig Yana (U15)
Egarter Franziska (U17)
Egarter Stefan (U15)
Heindl Matthias (U17)
Possegger Fabian (U17), alle von Arbö Askö Rlm Omya Villach und
Wieltschnig Julia ( Junioren) vom SC Hermagor
Da die Startaufstellung per Los entschieden wurde, verfälschten sich die erbrachten Leistungen der einzelnen Sportler ein wenig. Da es auf der technisch schwierigen Strecke, zwischen Obstplantagen und wurzeligen Waldabfahrten, beinahe unmöglich war zu überholen, war die Startrunde bereits rennentscheidend.
Nur wer am Nachtigallanstieg vorne war, konnte sich Hoffnung auf eine gute Platzierung machen.
Aus diesem Grund entwickelte sich die Startrunde zu einer Schlacht, wo mit allen Mitteln um jeden Platz und Meter gekämpft wurde.
Sich in einem Starterfeld von mehr als hundert Startern behaupten zu können, war wohl eine der wichtigsten Erfahrungen, die unsere Sportler mit nach Hause nehmen konnten.
Erschöpft, aber als "Rennfahrer" gereift, erzielten unsere Kärntner Biker folgende Platzierungen in ihren Kategorien:
DOBNIG YANA 5. Platz
EGARTER FRANZISKA 6. Platz
EGARTER STEFAN 36. Platz
HEINDL MATTHIAS 35.Platz
POSSEGGER FABIAN 36. Platz
WIELTSCHNIG JULIA 13. Platz
