Bericht MTB Jugend-EM 2012 Graz/Stattegg

Letzte Woche fanden in Graz/Stattegg die Mountainbike Jugend Europa Meisterschaften statt. Auch der Landesradsportverband Kärnten war mit 2 Teams vertreten, auch 3 weitere Fahrer waren in National- bzw. Regionalteams dabei.

Die EM ging über 4 Tage und an jeden Tag war ein Rennen zu absolvieren.

Die Kärntner Fahrer sind sowohl in der Einzel- als auch in der Teamwertung sehr stark gefahren. Vor allem die Mädchen konnten mit sehr guten Erfolgen auf sich aufmerksam machen. In der U15-Kategorie schaffte Franziska Egarter den ausgezeichneten 6. Platz, Yana Dobnig wurde hervorragend 8. und Corina Druml konnte mit Platz 19 von 45 Teilnehmerinnen sich in der erste Hälfte platzieren. In der U17-Kategorie schaffte Julia Wieltschnig den sehr guten 21. Platz von 65 Starterinnen.

Auf die Burschen haben in sehr große und starke Startfelder sehr respektable Leistungen gebracht. Fabian Lamprecht wurde in der U15-Kategorie 24., Fabian Possegger 41. und Matthias Heindl 67. unter 90 Teilnehmern. In der U17-Kategorie waren sogar 130 Fahrer am Start und dort schaffte Leon Wolbank Platz 87, David Heindl wurde 90. und Julian Jesinger schaffte mit Platz 99 noch eine Platzierung unter den Besten 100.

Die beiden LRV Kärnten Teams konnten sich in der Teamwertung zeigen lassen, Team U15 (Franziska Egarter/Fabian Possegger/Matthias Heindl) wurde 18. Von 45 Teams und war damit 3. bestes ö-Team und 2. bestes Regionalteam. Das Team U17 (Julia Wieltschnig/Leon Wolbank/David Heindl) schaffte den 34. Platz von 65 Teams und war nach den beiden Nationalteams das beste ö-Team.
