"WSA-Viperbike Kärnten bei der ö-Tour"

 

Die Erfolge bei der 3. Int. Oö-Rundfahrt, dem einzigen Mehrtagesrennen UCI 2.2 in österreich vom 16.-18.6.2012 sicherten die Teilnahme an der 64. Int. österreich-Rundfahrt.
Den Grundstein für die Mannschaftsführung nach 3 Etappen legten bei der 1. Etappe Schöffmann Martin (2. Platz), Hans Jörg Leopold (4. Platz) und der Youngster Paul Lang (10. Platz).
Nach dem Massensprint am zweiten Renntag in Altheim änderte sich de facto nichts, alles konzentriete sich auf das Finale in St. Georgen am Attersee. Starker Vierter wurde Hans-Jörg Leopold.
Mit den Rängen 14 (Martin Schöffmann) und 16 (Paul Lang) sicherte sich das Team WSA Viperbike vom Verein Union Radland Kärnten noch den Sieg in der Mannschaftswertung.
Mit dieser Form unserer Top-Fahrer können wir mit ruhigem Gewissen in die 64. österreich-Rundfahrt 2012 gehen, denn wir haben in den letzten Wochen gezeigt, dass wir zu den besten Mannschaften österreichs zählen, bestätigt der sportliche Leiter Werner Faltheiner..
Für öRV-Generalsekretär Rudolf Massak hat sich die Mannschaft "WSA-Viperbike Kärnten" verdientermaßen gegen Arbö Gebrüder Weiss-Oberndorfer durchgesetzt (siehe: Presse_radsportverband180612.pdf)
Martin Schöffmann und Hans Jörg Leopold kamen mit der anspruchsvollen Streckenführung bestens zurecht, denn die öberösterreich-Rundfahrt war mit ihren vielen Anstiegen schon eine kleine ö-Tour.
